Miss Emilie's Sampler and Samples From the Past from Log Cabin Quilter

All the blocks are done for "Miss Emilie's Garden".  Now they need trimmed, sashing added and then to applique the borders.

Whoops on the photo above.  The picture turned out blurry but you get the idea of what it looks like.

And now a start on another applique project.  The two blocks below are from a pattern by Blackbird Designs with Cherie Ralston.  The pattern set is "Samples From the Past".  The Miss Emilie blocks will finish at 8 inches.  The new blocks will finish at 20 inches so larger in size and a longer amount of time to ...

Celebrating Mary Brown and Miss Emilie's Garden from Log Cabin Quilter

I am a bit late in the day for sharing my Mary Brown block for October.  I was thinking I had one more day to finish it but realized yesterday that I needed to stitch fast to get it done for the 30th of October.  This was a fussy block to stitch because of all the curvy parts.

A Finish, A new Project, and An Update from Log Cabin Quilter

"Lizzie's Tents" is my finish.  A smaller size quilt using a Carol Hopkins pattern and reproduction fabrics.  The fabric belonged to a friend and she cut out all the block pieces for both of us to sew one of the small quilts.

I have been wanting to start another quilt from one of Lori Smith's patterns.  I am using her "Miss Emilie's Garden" pattern and have enlarged the blocks 148%.  They should finish at eight inches square.  The first two blocks are complete.

I am using mostly Betsy Chutchian fabric but others are being added in.  I ...
